By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information you provide directly:

• Account information — email address and display name when you create an account.
• Golf round data — scores, hole-by-hole statistics, shot data (club, carry distance, ball speed, etc.), course names, and dates.
• Bag and equipment data — club names, types, and distance averages you enter or import.
• Imported CSV files — shot data exported from simulator software (Foresight, Trackman, SkyTrak, GSPro) that you upload to the Service.
• Communications — messages you send us via email or in-app feedback.

Information collected automatically:

• Location data — GPS coordinates of shots during outdoor rounds, if you grant location permission. This data is stored only to generate hole maps and is never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version, used for debugging and compatibility.
• Usage data — features used, pages visited, and general interaction patterns, collected in aggregate to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Calculate and display your golf statistics, handicap differential, and performance trends.
• Sync your data across devices and the companion website.
• Send transactional notifications (e.g., round saved confirmations) if you opt in to push notifications.
• Respond to your support requests and communications.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
• Improve and develop new features of the Service.

We do not use your data to serve targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — We use Supabase to store and manage your data. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf and is contractually required to protect your data.
• Social features — If you participate in social rooms or share rounds with other users, those users will see the data you choose to share within those features.
• Legal requirements — We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, protect our rights, or protect the safety of others.
• Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and golf data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal obligations.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security policies in our database, and secure authentication provided by Supabase. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

• Access — You can view your data at any time within the app or companion website.
• Correction — You can update your account information and golf data directly within the Service.

• Location permissions — You can revoke GPS location access at any time through your device settings. This will disable live shot tracking for outdoor rounds.
• Push notifications — You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as the Apple App Store or golf course databases). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending an email to the address associated with your account.
